If I had my way then I’d own them all, because they look like wonderful ghoulish works of art, but I decided that if I was going to buy one then it needed to be not so creepy that I’d have trouble putting it inside me, and also of a design that looked physically pleasing. Being a texture fan, and also a bit of a science-fiction aficionado, I settled on the lovely Cyborg, and now it’s time to review it!
Like all the Fleshjack dildos the Freaks are made from 100% platinum silicone, and they come in some incredibly vivid colours, especially the Cyborg’s stunning purple. Silicone is one of my favourite sex toy materials because most importantly it’s safe for the body, and is a medical / food grade material. It also happens to be entirely odourless and easy to clean and maintain. The silicone in the Fleshlight Freaks range seems to be a little bit firmer than the silicone used in the Fleshjack Boys dildos, and is interesting to note, but can possibly be explained by the fact that these are not intended to feel as realistic given that they’re not emulating a real person’s body part. While I would compare the firmness of the Fleshjack Boys dildos to the Tantus Pack ‘n’ Play, the Freaks dildos are more akin to any of your regular Tantus products. There’s a decent amount of give in the surface of the Cyborg, and you can bend the shaft around without too much effort, but it doesn’t have that plush quality of the Fleshjack Boys dildos. The other real difference to note is the finish, as the Cyborg has a lovely smooth shiny surface to it, whereas the Fleshjack boys have a very fine velvety texture caused by the grain of the skin being picked up by the silicone.
Like all Fleshlight products the build quality of the Cyborg dildo is exceptional. There isn’t a mould line in sight, which is all the more surprising given the complexity of the design, nor are there any pits, fissures, or other visible defects anywhere to be seen. One thing which does disappoint me somewhat though is that my dildo is seriously lopsided. I’m not sure if it’s a case of all of them being like this, or somehow mine just slipping through the cracks of quality control, but it has a major Leaning Tower of Pisa thing going on. If you look at the 360 degree product view they have on their website then the whole thing is pretty straight and upright, so being the perfectionist that I am I’m a little disappointed that mine isn’t like that. Otherwise I can’t really fault the manufacturing.
When it comes to using the Cyborg dildo I’m probably going to suggest a warm up toy, and not because of its size. The tip of the dildo is actually quite modest and very gently tapered, but it starts with the texture almost immediately, and it just so happens that the texture at the tip is some of the most prominent on the whole toy. Inserting something with that much texture is going to be far easier and more comfortable if you’re already fairly loosened up. As you start to insert the dildo it really does feel quite intense, and the ridges catch a little on the soft fleshy tissue just within the anus, so using plenty of lube is a must here. The tip of the dildo is designed to look like the head of a penis, but you don’t really get a “pop” as you pass over the final ridge, more a pleasant sense of things calming down somewhat. Once the dildo is inside you can appreciate the comfort factor of the material because it does have the right amount of flex to move around inside the body, and the give in the surface of the silicone is enough to be gentle with the sphincter – you can only imagine how much more you’d feel that texture if the dildo was rock solid. Thrusting with the dildo is an experience in itself and there’s a lot going on at once. Every half inch of movement in any direction has texture stimulating the sphincter and it can be quite a lot to process. I wouldn’t say that thrusting with the dildo was an overly uncomfortable experience, but for me it wasn’t especially pleasurable either, and at this point we’re talking about long slow thrusts. I did attempt to get up to some thrusting speed with the dildo but that was where I had to stop as it felt as though something was grinding against my insides. There are options on how you can choose to use the dildo and position it, whether it be frontwards or backwards, or if you decide to squat over it or manipulate it by hand, but it doesn’t really change much because there’s 360 degrees of texture on every side of the shaft, so if you’re trying to escape it then you’re out of luck. In terms of prostate stimulation I didn’t really notice any, and I did focus my mind on this for fear that other sensations might be drowning it out, but it just wasn’t there. The Cyborg is one of those toys which delivers its sensation primarily into the sphincter through its use of texture, it’s just a question really whether or not you can handle that texture, and I for one was slightly overwhelmed, albeit to my surprise.
