Gun Oil Silicone

This silicone lube is Gun Oil’s original and signature product. The story goes that during Operation Desert Storm in the early 90s, U.S. marines would take the oil from their guns and use it to masturbate, as it was the only lubricant that wouldn’t break down in the scorching heat of the Persian Gulf. From there a commercial idea emerged, and Gun Oil® was born.

Gun Oil Silicone is a lubricant primarily designed for use during masturbation, as silicone lubes can have an adverse effect on many types of sex toys, including silicone toys and FleshJack inserts. It is completely condom-safe though, and so can be used during sex.
The lube has quite a thin runny consistency, and a greasy feeling to it which is quite different to water-based products. I found that a couple of pumps of it were more than enough, as a small quantity easily spread over a wider area. The lube is very slippery and long lasting, as unlike water-based lubes it won’t dry out through the moisture content evaporating or being absorbed by the skin. Depending on how long you intend to draw out your personal play time, typically you won’t need more than one reapplication in my experience.
As someone who generally doesn’t use lube for masturbation I found that this product provided a nice change of pace, and encouraged an experimentation with different techniques, all which resulted in a very enjoyable experience.
After use it can be a bit troublesome to clean up, as you do need to use soap and water everywhere it’s come in contact with, to fully remove all the residue. It does leave the skin with a pleasant moisturised feeling though, probably due in part to the vitamin E and aloe vera in the ingredients.
It is quite expensive considering the small size of the bottles, but when you factor in how little you’re going to use on each occasion, it works out to be more reasonable.

Gun Oil is available from SexToys.co.uk, Nice ‘n’ Naughty, and Esmale – where you can get an extra 10% off by entering the code ‘INCEND10’ at the checkout.

Doc Johnson “The Tool”

The Tool by Doc Johnson was the first ever sex toy I purchased, and it remains one of my favourites to this day. I never used to be that crazy about the idea of bottoming during anal sex, having only ever tried putting a finger inside myself before, so when I decided that it was time for that to change, I went in search of an anal dildo, and this is what I settled on. As a complete anal virgin at the time I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. Despite some expected resistance initially, once the toy was inside not only was it comfortable, but it introduced me to a whole new variety of fun.

The Tool comes presented in some rather nice packaging, as can be seen above. An a outer cardboard box surrounds an inner plastic insert, which holds the dildo in place like a cocoon. After discarding the cardboard I found the plastic useful to keep as storage for the toy, protecting it from dust and mingling with other items in my drawer.
The first thing I noticed when I removed it from the box was that it had this wonderfully sweet fruity aroma to the silicone. It is advertised as being “odourless” and so would fail this on a technical point, but I would make no complaint over the matter.
The next thing to draw my attention was the size, something which is often difficult to judge from photos alone. Measuring in at 7″ long and 1.5″ in diameter, it’s nothing too alarming, meaning it’s still in the realm of suitability for a beginner, albeit it at the upper end of that. The thickness makes it realistically comparable to a penis, if that’s what you were aiming for, and which also comes in handy if you want to protect it with a condom during use, as it’ll stay in place.
The product is made from Doc Johnson’s proprietary blend of platinum silicone, which is firm enough for it to hold its shape well, but which is still flexible enough that it’ll sway from side to side if you shake it in your hand, and can be bent and squeezed as much as you like. When inside you the silicone is soft enough to gently cushion any clenching of the muscles against it, adding to the comfort.
The toy is moulded entirely in one piece, meaning a completely smooth surface free from mould lines. The tapered tip of the toy makes it perfect for anal use, and with a little water-based lube it’ll slip in like a charm, even if you’ve never put anything in there before. The smooth body allows it to slide back and forth seamlessly, and the flex in it allows it to bend to your shape as you adjust it to probe deeper.
One of my favourite discoveries was the way in which the silicone absorbs the heat from the body whilst it’s inside, so as you begin to withdraw it you’ll notice this lovely feeling of warmth emanating from it.
The base of the toy is slightly flared, to prevent any mishaps, though for most the length of the toy is enough to eliminate the risk of it becoming lost inside the body. The base is also completely smooth and flat, which has the property of causing it to stick to other flat surfaces if you push down firmly enough, which can be handy.
All-in-all it’s a fantastic anal dildo, and one which I recommend to all of my friends without hesitation.

The Doc Johnson Tool is available in blue or purple and can be purchased from SexShop365.

Welcome

With this first post I officially join the ranks of the sex toy bloggers throughout the Internet!
I decided to create this blog because sex toys are something I have an interest in, and have been talking and writing about for a while. A blog seemed like the perfect place to opine on the subject, and to aggregate all the reviews I leave on online stores. I also wanted to offer a male perspective on a subject which is typically dominated by a number of very competent female bloggers.
I’m always open to to trying a wide variety of toys, so expect reviews on everything from masturbators to prostate massagers to butt plugs and beyond! Many of the items I review I’ve purchased myself, and on other occasions retailers which I shall credit have generously sent them to me for free, but I always maintain an honest and impartial assessment of them.
I don’t write with a specific audience in mind, and as many of the toys are unisex, and able to be enjoyed by both men and women, gay and straight alike, I believe that there should be something here for everyone.
This blog is a work in progress, so there may be some style changes along the way, but I hope you enjoy reading it and it proves useful.
