Angel Rivera Dildo

It was 12 long months ago that I first learnt that this dildo was in the pipeline, and what better way to kick off the New Year than by dusting off my blog and reviewing it!

I can remember when Angel Rivera made his porn debut for Helix Studios back in 2018. The first thing I ever noticed about him was his pecs. Here was this beautiful slender twink with these two impossibly pillowy mounds of pure muscle affixed to his chest, seeming almost out of proportion to the rest. It was as though he’d been going to the gym for the sole purpose of bench-pressing, and frankly I loved it.

The second thing I noticed, of course, (and what brings us to this review) was his dick, and instantly a porn crush was born. It was long, it was thick, it was perfectly proportioned. It sprouted out of this fluffy bush of dense brown hair, and had this fascinating two-tone where it sharply changed from a rich caramel colour near the base to a lighter shade halfway up the shaft. I couldn’t resist him, and seemingly neither could his scene partners.

Since those days, and several studio moves later, Angel has changed a lot. Gone is the almost-hairless twink, and with it the oddly-aggressive skin-brightening (seriously, look up the early promo portraits, I can’t be the only one who noticed). In is the fuzzy untamed twunk, complete with facial hair and tattoos to match, and frankly he only seems to be getting hotter. When Fleshjack announced they were going to be immortalising him in silicone there was no question that I’d have to get one, and when it landed on my doorstep late last October my excitement proved justified.

In terms of design the Angel Rivera dildo is everything you’d expect from a Fleshjack product. Standing there in 3D it’s every bit as gorgeous as the penis you’ve seen on screen. What’s especially exciting is this is the first dildo I’ve had from Fleshjack that was anything other than their standard beige colour. The Angel Rivera comes in this wonderful rich dulce de leche hue, and it adds something really special to the whole product.

The dildo is a faithful one-to-one replica and the sheer level of detail is incredible. The casting picks up every surface vein, every hair follicle, even the subtle texture of the skin. It has this lovely tight pair of balls at the bottom, followed by Angel‘s ever-so-subtly downward-curving shaft. What’s fun is if you hold the dildo horizontally then the shaft droops slightly under it’s own weight, giving that authentic look of a hard dick that’s just sprung out of a pair of pants. The shaft is actually more textured than I would have imagined; as well as the surface veins it has it’s own little bumps and ridges throughout, and you could spend hours pouring over every detail only to notice something new the next time. The crowning glory is the head; on the dorsal side it appears quite elongated, with this long sweeping slope down from the tip, right up until it hit this sharp lip where it meets the coronal ridge. You could almost imagine someone riding down the incline on a skateboard and going fully airborne at the end. If you look at it from the side then there’s a real prominence to that ridge and it sticks out a significant way from the shaft below. On the underside of the head there’s a nice defined groove running down it from the meatus, and where it meets the shaft it’s replaced by a subtle ridge of frenulum that continues for around 2″. There are so many unique little things to pick out about it that it really is a dick-lover’s dildo.

When it comes to use there’s only one way I can think to describe it: “boyfriend dick.” As you might imagine, over the past 9 years, I’ve amassed a dildo for every occasion (and then some). There are those you go to when you fancy something textured, some you pick up when you just crave the stretch of one that’s huge and filling, those that offer a specific firmness or softness, but rarely do they see equal rotation. Then there are those that you can rely on you get you off every time, and which don’t require any significant preparation. These are the Goldilocks of dildos, the ones you keep in your bedside drawer and not your toy box. This is the Angel Rivera.

Every time I’ve gone to use it I’ve been almost surprised at what a simple joy it is, because everything just seems to come together in a way that few dildos do. No matter what toy you’re using, or how good it is, there always seems to be some sort of niggle you’ll have, either about the size, the shape, the texture, the firmness – something you’d want to tweak ever so slightly to make it better for you – but I genuinely don’t notice anything like that with this toy. Now obviously this is an incredibly subjective thing, and as the Americans say “your mileage may vary,” but from start to finish the Angel Rivera dildo is just a pure delight to use.

When you begin to insert it you immediately find that the tapered head allows the dildo to slide into the body incredibly easily, with only a good dollop of your favourite lube needed to help it on its way, and this is the first factor in what makes it so accessible. It’s a pick up and go dildo, not one that requires patience and planning beforehand. Once it’s completely inserted it had this sense of almost perfect fullness. When I’m sat on it, resting my weight on the squishy balls, I can feel the depth of it but it doesn’t poke or prod at you uncomfortably inside. Even when you attempt to bounce and wiggle around, to see how it moves about, the tip always stops short of being able to jab you anywhere unpleasant, which is fantastic if you enjoy riding a dildo quite energetically. It’s a similar story with the girth. I can feel that bit of stretch in the muscle and it’s just where I want it to be. I don’t find myself suddenly craving a bit more, and nor does it ever offer that slightly intense feeling of being stretched to a level that’s hard to comfortably maintain. I think it’s the perfect balance between length and girth that makes this dildo so special, because at every point, right from where the muscle wraps around it at the base, to where the tip nestles deep inside, it offers consistently spot-on fullness, never feeling like too much and never like too little, and that’s no small feat.

We should really talk about how it actually performs during play, though, because comfort is one thing but how about stimulation? This is another area where I find the dildo really excels. The Angel Rivera has this absolutely wonderful flared head that I spoke about earlier, with an almost sharpness to the ridge of the corona, and the shaft is very gently curved downwards. When you combine these features with the flexibility of the soft squishy silicone it makes for an incredible ride. As you go down on the dildo you feel that head pushing past the prostate and the ridge making itself known, and then the thickness of the shaft nestles against it and almost massages it as the curved length runs along it in one smooth stroke. On the backstroke you get everything in reverse, except there’s that big step up to the ridge now and so it feels even more noticeable as it ploughs through the spongy surface tissue. Once you get a good rhythm going it’s amazing. It hits the prostate every time with the dildo bending and conforming to your body, and you can even move around so that the dildo contacts you at a slightly different angle and applies more pressure. It’s such an enjoyable experience, but it’s never too much. A lot of good prostate toys can be almost too intense, to the point that you have to take a break lest you be overwhelmed, but not here. I feel as though I could ride the Angel Rivera for as long as I wanted, adjusting my positioning to regulate the sensation all the while.

All of this is the essence of what makes it “boyfriend dick.” It’s something relatable to anyone who’s been with a handful of guys. You may have enjoyed ones of all different shapes and sizes over the years, for all manner of different reasons, but there are some which you could just consistently go back to time and time again. That “good dick” that just makes you think “yeah, this is the one that I could happily have exclusively.”

One really nice feature of the newer Fleshjack dildos is the suction cup hole. I typically like to ride my dildos, rather than thrust them manually, and it’s great to be able to secure them to a hard floor, or even slap them against the wall of a shower. Even better though, for people who prefer them handheld, is that Fleshjack have come up with a whole range of new attachments to plug into the hole to make manipulating them even easier! If you don’t want to use them with an accessory then the dildos come with a little silicone core to maintain the shape and firmness of the toy, so everyone’s a winner

All that’s left to say really is that I love this dildo. It’s gorgeous, it’s detailed, it’s incredibly well made, and it feels amazing. If this is actually what it feels like to hook up with Angel Rivera then wow, they’ve done him great justice. I honestly can’t recommend this dildo enough, whether you’re a fan of Angel or not.
